Squamish Farmers' Winter Market 2017 - November 4th, 2017
Hello Squamish Farmers’ Market Subscribers,
Welcome to the first of our Winter Markets of 2017! We’re looking forward to a great season and have brought in many of your favourite vendors from the Summer Market and a few new faces to spice things up too! A full list of this season’s vendors can be found on our Facebook page.
This winter season we’re in a brand-new location, and proud of it! The Squamish Adventure Centre on Loggers Lane, just off Highway 99 will be hosting us EVERY Saturday starting this weekend, November 4th to December 16th. Our local makers, bakers and growers will be offering their labours of love to you from 10-2.
Worried you’d have to start heading to the supermarket for your fruits and veggies? Worry not! Our farmers will be there until their produce runs out. This week we’ve got produce from Plenty Wild Farms, Laughing Crow Organics, Snowy Mountain Organics and Makepeace Organic Farms. And of course, Stony Mountain Farm’s “Egg Lady” will be there to offer her hens’ gifts – get there early before they sell out!
We’ve also got an amazing lineup of artisans for you. From your favourite sweet treats by Maples Sugar Shack and the warm, savoury Gauchos Empanadas, to new vendors like Raw Earth Remedies Natural Deodorants, The Tasty Pasty Company featuring Cornish Pasties and Woods Energy Bars. You can also look forward to some eye candy from our talented artists from Annissimoff Art, Squamish Wildlife and Scenery and The Art of Rogic.
To help us rock in the new season, we’ve brought in Juno award-winner Cam Salay as our musical guest! Cam has been a professional musician since 1994. He was a member of the band The Paperboys and continues to work as both a soloist and a duo with Shannon Saunders in The Splinters. You can catch also catch Cam at Howe Sound Brew Pub’s open mic night on the last Monday of each month. We’re honoured to have him bring in the Winter Market with us.
All the usual amenities of the Squamish Adventure Centre will still be in full swing so you can still grab a delicious coffee from Café Garibaldi and grab a gift from the gift shop on your way out.
We’re beside ourselves with excitement for this season!
See you there!
Lots of love,
The Squamish Farmers’ Market Association
