Abbotsford Farmers' Market
This week’s market is our Farmers Appreciation celebration and Family Day with a focus on our younger shoppers.
Activities include antique farm and food processing equipment and farming history displays and fun contests.
We have a professional farrier joining us for the day. Heather O’Brien will be bringing a portable forge and making horseshoes and other items on site. See if you can guess what the odd piece of food processing equipment displayed in the Friesen Farms booth is used for. Try your hand at Carrot Jenga and review the pictures showing some history of farming in the Fraser Valley. Visit our cooking demo booth where Tara Immell will be demonstrating fun to make and fun to eat school lunchbox treats using produce from our own vendors. Goat’s Pride Dairy is bringing one of their goats over to interact with market customers and many vendors are “dressing up” their booths in a celebration of farmers and farming.
New vendor joining us this week. Lucky Pup Homemade Dog Cookies, as the name would suggest makes dog treats.
And the ever popular Choi’s Traditional Korean Pottery is in the market this week.
Live entertainment this week is the acoustic guitar and voice of Jana Seale.
