Granville Island Summer Farmers Market
Tomorrow is it - the final hurrah of our spectacular season! Fall Fest 2017 is upon us and we could not be happier about our event. 20 wonderful vendors will be joining us for our final market. 2 incredible members of the culinary community are joining us for food demonstrations. At 11 AM we have Luv The Grub showing us that all fruits and veggies should be treated equally. Alia takes the 'ugly' or 'seconds' versions of fruit and vegetables deemed not pretty enough for the top shelf display and turns them into delicious chutneys and spreads. At 12 PM, local chef extraordinaire and newest member of Granville Island's foodie community, Chef Angus An of Sen Pad Thai and Maenam will be treating us to a culinary treat!! And of course, do not forget the creme de la creme event tomorrow - our 8th Annual Pie Contest. There is still time to whip up your best pie and enter it in our contest tomorrow. Once the judging is completed and winners announced, we will delve into all the pies, sharing everyone's talents with our vendors, staff and loyal customers on hand. 2 samples per person and we ask you to line up at 2 PM. No point standing around for an hour whilst we judge. Shop, sample some Thanksgiving appropriate wines from Rocky Creek or Forbidden Fruit, or for something not normally offered, delicious Sea Cider! For the kids at your feast, Temple Soda offers a bubbly and healthy alternative to sugarry juices (make the under 19 crowd feel like they should be at the adults' table!)
In addtion to the demonstrations and pie contest, we will be hosting a games tent for the younger ones (or those young at heart). Table billiards or table hockey!! Fun fun fun!
