Squamish Winter Farmers' Market - November 25th, 2017
Hello Squamish Farmers’ Market Subscribers,
This Saturday’s market will mark one month until Christmas! It’s time to get your shop on! Come to fill your fridge with our local farmers’ fresh produce and artisans’ pantry items, stay to get all your holiday gifts AND support our local vendors. Don’t worry, you won’t have to do so on an empty stomach, we have the best of the best hot food on site to nourish you while you shop.
Since we are into the season of giving, we will be setting up a donations box for the Community Christmas Care program this Saturday and next. How can you help? Your gifts of financial assistance, toys and non-perishable food items add significantly to our efforts. We thank you from the bottom of your hearts for your donations.
A HUGE welcome to any first-time shoppers to our new location, The Squamish Adventure Centre on Loggers Lane, just off Highway 99. You can find us there EVERY Saturday from 10-2. We are looking forward to many cozy winters here, so spread the word! We have a great line-up of vendors this season: for a full list please visit our Facebook page.
This weekend’s produce will be brought to you by organic farmers at Plenty Wild Farm, Four Beat Farm, Makepeace Organics and Snowy Mountain Organics. Stony Mountain Farm will of course be bringing eggs and now has pork shares and sausages available! Pantry favourites from Alice Savage, Jessica's Homemade Alfajores, The Tasty Pasty Co. and Goldstrike Honey will also be there with their delicacies.
Inside the building you will find FOUR new vendor faces! At the BoboBits stall you'll find unique jewelry, wineglass charms, and beautiful reclaimed driftwood bowls and platters that make the perfect gift for those hard to buy people on your list! Move down the line and you’ll find unique functional and decorative pottery from Olga’s pottery. Charcoal and Grain will fill your nesting needs with handcrafted furniture and home décor. Ready to try something new? How about cricket crackers?! Check out Bug Hungry for their line of edible insect delicacies.
Looking for gifts but can’t decide what to get? We offer gift certificates that can be used at any vendor! See our market manager at our information kiosk near the coffee shop for purchase.
All the usual amenities of the Squamish Adventure Centre will still be in full swing so you can still grab a delicious coffee from Café Garibaldi and grab a little something from the gift shop on your way out.
Happy holiday season to you all!
See you there!
Lots of love,
The Squamish Farmers’ Market Association
