Squamish Winter Farmers' Market - December 9th, 2017
Hello Squamish Farmers’ Market Subscribers,
This coming Saturday is one you won’t want to miss! We’ve called in all your favourite vendors and a few new faces to spice things up. Ready to impress your guests? How about a delicious, locally-sourced evening complete with organic fruits and vegetables, free-range meats, fresh-baked breads with organic oils and butters to dip, small-batch preserves and fermented sides and paired with your choice of local wine, beer or spirit? Can do!
Our awesome organic vegetables this week will be provided by none other than Plenty Wild Farms and Laughing Crow Organics. Don’t miss your last chance to grab organic fruits from Snowy Mountain Organics and Makepeace Organics! The unbeatable 108 Sausage Company will be there will bells on for all your sausage needs, while the fabulous Stony Mountain Farm will have happy-hen eggs and pork shares there as well! Our newest addition to our farmer family, Windy Creek Farm will also be there to offer naturally-raised, grass-fed beef products. Did we leave anything out?! Didn’t think so…
This is your last opportunity to donate to our Community Christmas Care box. It’s looking quite empty so far – help us ensure that everyone in our community has a happy holiday! How can you help? Your gifts of financial assistance, toys and non-perishable food items add significantly to our efforts. We thank you from the bottom of your hearts for your donations.
Don’t forget to take care of yourself this holiday season. You can find everything from organic skin-care essentials from Abbey Lane Farm to therapeutic-grade essential oils for all your needs from none other than From Nature to Nurture Aromatherapy. Not sure which oil you might need for this or for that? Owner Heidi is a wonderful source of information of holistic healing!
You won’t be at a loss for Christmas gifts either! Our vendors this week will be offering wooden bowls, decorative and functional pottery, leather and silver body adornments, handmade journals and every kind of home decorative.
Just a reminder to any first-time shoppers that we have moved to a new winter location, The Squamish Adventure Centre on Loggers Lane, just off Highway 99. You can find us there for our last two markets this Saturday and next from 10-2. We are looking forward to many cozy winters here, so spread the word! We have a great line-up of vendors this season: for a full list please visit our Facebook page.
Looking for gifts but can’t decide what to get? We offer gift certificates that can be used at any vendor! See our market manager at our information kiosk near the coffee shop for purchase.
All the usual amenities of the Squamish Adventure Centre will still be in full swing so you can still grab a delicious coffee from Café Garibaldi and grab a little something from the gift shop on your way out.
Wishing you all a happy holiday season!
See you there!
Lots of love,
The Squamish Farmers’ Market Association
