Squamish Summer Farmers' Market - August 5th!
Good Afternoon Market Subscribers, and Welcome August!
W hope everyone has been managing to keep cool from the heat and smoke this week, and are excited for the last long weekend of the summer! Nothing says summer like a Saturday afternoon at the Squamish Farmers Market!
The weekly harvests brought to us by our awesome local farmers have continuously been arriving to our market bountiful as ever, but those delicious cherries, peaches, blueberries, strawberries, and lush greens aren’t going to last forever, so be sure to pick some up in the next couple weeks before the seasonal produce ends!
Not only have our farmers been working hard all summer, so have a variety of local vendors including our friendly jam, clothing, confectionary, jewelry, and wine-makers who will be at the market this week to greet you! We are featuring a local community group: My Sea to Sky and for those with tiny tots, we have a new stall this week... Hapimess will be hosting playful learning activities for kids and providing info about their programs and services! Both groups would love to chat with you Saturday!
Our market isn't the only thing happening in town this August Long Weekend. It's also Loggers Sports! A full list of the many exciting events happening across town this weekend can be found at squamishdays.ca. Be sure not to miss out on the unforgettable fun, including chair carving, a pancake breakfast, a community 8K run, the famous Bed Races, and of course, the spectacular Loggers Sports Competitions!
So come on down, check out the artwork from vendors such as Tim Cyr Photography or Tony's Tie-Dyes, try some vegan cashew hummus at Spread'Em, pick up a fresh baked nutritious loaf from Rising Knead, or simply relax and enjoy the tunes of none other than The Overcomers, who will be performing with a bang as they always do. There is so much to see, hear, and do (not to mention eat!) at the Squamish Farmers Market!
We can't wait to see you all there tomorrow, from 10am-3pm!
