Haney Farmers Market will be going to THE FARM TODAY
The day has finally arrived! Haney Farmers Market is going to the Farm! Come join us at Brookfield Farm, 20981 123 Ave at 210 beside Laityview Elementary School in Maple Ridge. Park at Laityview Elementary or take Bus #44 or #43. So much to do! Hay rides, 4H animals, the Kids Korner will have 4 tents, with games and activities for the kids to do.
There will be something for everyone! Fresh, locally grown fruits,vegetables and flowers from our amazing farmers, treats galore, Coconama Chocolates will be here, Kizzy's Macarons-best macarons ever, as well as Designer Cookis by Deborah...just to name a few. Body care - we have Arnalia 100% natural, Mountain Natural Soaps and St. Florian Soap Company. We cannot leave out the crafters and jewellery, Brigitta's Pottery, Bird Houses by Darryl, Hats and More, and wonderful jewellery from Designs by Debbie.
New to the market is Mama Bear Essentials, they will be selling Grow with Me Children's apparel, reusable snack bags and more! Back for the first time this year is Growing Fresh, offering popsicles, granola, coconut and seed snacks - yum!
A shout out to our fund raisers who are helping make the world a better place! Golden Ears GoGo raise funds to help support grandmothers in Africa. Put a Squeeze on Diabetes sells lemonade to raise funds to send kids with diabetes to camp, Ridge Meadows Quilters Guild has a raffle to help support Cythera House, Youth Services of Maple Ridge will have their ice cream cart, and last but not least is the Meadow Ridge Rotary Club. This will be your very last chance to purchase tickets at the market for the 8th annual Rotary Duck Race! First prize is a 2017 Fiat 124 Spider Convertible, with other great prizes to follow. Join the race to raise $99,000 for youth and senior’s organizations in Maple Ridge! The race begins at 1pm on Sunday, August 12 in Maple Ridge Park.
Do come with an appetite! We have some of the best food around! Beaf's BBQ, Hibiscus Foods, Lupita Mexican Foods, the 4H Sizzling Smokey Dogs, and the Bannock Queen who will also offer Blueberry iced tea, from blueberries grown at home.
