Haney Farmers Market hosts the Friends in Need Food Bank Pancake Breakfast
Reminder: Haney Farmers Market will be continuing in Memorial Peace Park until November 10. Mark your calendars! We will be moving under The Big Top in Memorial Peace Park on October 13th. We will be there from October 13th to November 10th. Visit us undercover for fresh, local produce, baked goods, handmade crafts, and more!
This weekend is going to be a beautiful, warm, fall market! It is also the Annual Pancake Breakfast put on by the Kiwanis Club of Golden Ears in support of the Friends in Need Food Bank. Breakfast will be served from 9:00am until 12:00pm and is by donation. Come and enjoy breakfast before you do your shopping at the market, and help support a worthy cause!
The fall harvest is here! All our farmers have colourful and tasty squash, peppers of all shapes and sizes, apples, pears, zucchini, and more! Come on down this Saturday from 9-2 for a true taste of fall, our farmers have lots of produce.
We have Brenda's Bangles & Baubles for the first time this season, with her hand crafted designer jewelery - welcome back Brenda! Also, welcome back Cut the Cake Desserts, they make sugar-free, wheat-free and low-carb desserts and bread.
We have Jen Hershman this weekend at the Cafe Corner. Jen's music is instrumentally inspired by the 70s, she pulls musical influence from her childhood favourites, Linda Ronstadt and Paul Simon. Her voice can hit you with a haunting edge, and simultaneously leave you with a feeling of joy.
For Lunch: Ace Curries To Go is back, Beaf’s BBQ is always cooking up a storm, and Hibiscus Foods with their authentic Jamaican patties. Amazing foods has Samosa, Pakora, and the best Chai Tea around! The General Store always has cool, refreshing lemonade and fresh water at the Information Tent. Candace Coffee has the warm stuff: coffee, tea and hot chocolate, along with her delicious scones. Enjoy your lunch at the Cafe Corner while listening to the music from Jen Hershman.
In the South Park, the BIA is hosting their annual Cultural Days of Summer. The ACT is also apart of Cultural Days-get a first-hand look at all the amazing arts programs we offer for all ages here in Maple Ridge. This participatory day will involve music, arts, dance, and more so come prepared to have fun! Perfect for all ages, bring your friends, family, even grandma! The more, the merrier!
