There are probably many things you should be doing more...
What’s happening this week at the Port Coquitlam Farmers Market!
Who will be crowned Best Apple Pie Baker this year? Yup, it’s time for the Port Coquitlam Farmer’s Market Annual Apple Pie Contest. We will have several bakers in fierce competition this year and you can benefit. Whole apple pies and pie slices will be available to purchase after the contest. The judging starts at 4:30 with the winners announced at 5:30. With the cooler weather and apple pies around it’s starting to hint at Fall already. Time to stock up your pantry with fresh fruits and vegetables. I’m starting to think about soup.
Wild West Seafood will be returning this week with locally sourced fish and seafood. Mythic Meringues will also be returning with their vegan whimsical-shaped meringues. I can’t wait to see what new shapes that have in-store (I hope they have the hedgehogs). This weeks Farmers market is sponsored by Telus and Canada Furnace.
In the food court area Mama’s Fish and Chips and Porky’s food trucks will be competing for your dinner selection. At the General Store we supply lemonade, water, and organic coffee which this year is generously provided by Frog Friendly Wild Coffee.
There is always something fun for the kids to make in the Imagination Station at Kidz Corner. The lovely Jana Seale will be performing on the Stage this week for the last time this season. Don’t forget our market runs until October 10th! Come down to do your produce, prepared foods and crafts shopping. There is something for everyone!
