Port Coquitlam Farmers Market
What’s happening this week at the Port Coquitlam Farmers Market!
There is excitement in the air….this Thursday is our Annual Teddy Bear picnic. Kids and bears (and their friends) can come visit the Kidz Zone for cookie decorating and picnic. Adults are welcome too! Your never too old to bring your teddy bear.
Say it isn’t so……there are only 3 more markets left to the season. Now is the time to stock up and do some last minute canning. Fall/winter squashes are plentiful as well as cabbages, carrots, beets, greens, kohlrabi, cauliflower, apples, pears, and the list goes on. Come and support the farmers that you supported in the summer! There are also many maker and bakers at the market this week. Bread, cheese, spreads, jams, soups, pies, fish, soaps, wooden crafts, knits, beer, vodka, cheesecakes, lavender products, the list is long as to what you will find.
In the food court area Mama’s Fish and Chips and Oh My Gado food trucks this week. At the General Store we supply lemonade, water, and organic coffee.
The emotional, heartfelt and eclectic Norine Braun will be performing on the Stage. A Vancouver based singer-songwriter Norine Braun is an award winning artist (2018 Western Canadian Music Award Nominee, Banff Centre Musician in Residence, Canada Council For the Arts Award, Los Angeles Music Awards, Artists For Literacy) who has a slew of festival appearances under her belt. We are pleased to have her back for a final time at the market this year.
Next week it’s our last chef demo of the year so mark your calendars for 4:30 with Chef Steve Golob and his Thanksgiving Harvest Soup.
We are located at Leigh Square in downtown Port Coquitlam.
