Squamish Farmers' Market
Hello Market Subscribers!
I know you are all looking forward to this exciting and sunny May weekend. Many of you are probably busy making plans to hit up the lake tomorrow and putting together your Mothers’ Day arrangements (by the way - it's this Sunday!!). However, be sure not to forget that the farmers market is tomorrow morning, so make sure you stop by on your way to the beach and take advantage of its timeliness for last-minute Mothers' Day gifts (but don't feel bad about treating yourself as well; it's what we're here for)!
For this special weekend we have a special market planned. In addition to our weekly local musician (we will have the talented Stephen Vogler performing for us 12-3pm), we'll also be hosting our second "Whats At The Market" demonstration (presented by ChefAtTheMarket): How to Brew Your Own Kombucha! The show is being hosted by our new, but already very popular (and oh so friendly!) vendor CraftWilder!
Many of you will be thrilled to hear that Goldstrike Honeybee Co. is returning this week; I think waiting or his delicious golden syrup to drizzle on our, well, everything (!) has tested everyone’s patience the last couple weeks. PlentyWild’s crop has also been so successful that they are abe to join us early this spring! Be sure to stop by and welcome them back as you pick out your freshly-harvested veggies! It is still the beginning of the season, so there are still several new vendors coming to our market for their very first time tomorrow, including French Press Linens, Gnarled Roots, and Solecito! Be sure to check out their unique, hand-made products!
But the market this week isn’t all fun and games, it is also a place to get critical, even life-saving, information. This week the Red Cross will have a booth set up with the District of Squamish to educate us all about Emergency Preparedness. We greatly thank them for their time and urge you not to miss out on what they have to offer!
I hope you are all looking forward to this Saturday as much as we are,
Squamish Farmers Market Association
P.S. It's going to be a hot one (predictions of full sun and 27°C!).... so don't forget to bring sunscreen, a water bottle, and a hat!
