Squamish Farmers' Market
Although the weather might be looking a little dreary this weekend, it's no reason to stay home all day! The Squamish Farmers Market taking place tomorrow, June 9th, is just what you need to brighten up your weekend!
This Saturday we have everything you need for a great day at the market - great vendors, great music, and great food! We will be starting the day off with a demonstration by local chef, Steve Fecho. Starting at 11am, Steve will be teaching us how to cook dishes from ingredients found right here at our market... and yes, there just may be some sampling! Following will be a performance by husband and wife duo, Brian DenHertog and Jill Russell, from 12-3pm. Another exciting feature of the market this week is the Art Bus, from Howe Sound Secondary School! Don't miss out on viewing beautiful and unique works by the budding young artists of Squamish! Our other community booth is Squamish Sailing & Kayaking School, who will be providing education about their non-profit organizations and opportunities.
For those coming to the market for fresh fruits and veggies, many will be pleased that Laughing Crow Organics will be joining us, and along with Nutrient Dense Farms and Plenty Wild Farms, we will have healthy, freshly harvested veggies galore! For those with more of a sweet tooth, don't miss out on Mandair Farms' big boxes of succulent strawberries, and this week Rai Produce will also be returning to our market for the season, bringing us juicy cherries and other fruits! Another returning vendor is Roger from the Art of Rogic, and be sure to welcome our newcomer, Protein Pop, to the market too!
There is so much going on at the Squamish Farmers Market this weekend, it's one you can't miss out on. So roll outta bed tomorrow morning and roll on over to the market! We can't wait to see you there!
