September 1st at the Squamish Farmers Market
Good afternoon market subscribers!
It's time to get excited for this week's market, becuase this Saturday we've got a very full market of awesome vendors, Jana Seale performing live from 10-11 and 12-2, our weekly kid’s craft, where we’ll be making mini airplanes from 11-1, and our weekly 50/50 raffle (participants must be 19+ Tickets are sold at the market info booth 1 for $2, or 2 for $3)!
For all you garlic lovers, this is the week to come,, because new to the market this week is Lariviere Farm, who specialize in 8 varieties of it! You can also find varieties such as Red Russian, Armenian Porcelain, and Northern Quebec Porcelain, as well as countless other veggies, at our local farms Plenty Wild, Laughing Crow, and Nutrient Dense Farms! I think at least a few of us will also be needing to stock up on breaths mints for the following week! Mutha Dukkah is another new vendor who will be selling their very special spice mix; come give her a welcoming hello! Charcoal and Grain will be returning to share their unique, handcrafted wooden shelving for you to spice up your home with! And don't forget to stock up on ingredients for this week's recipe from Ela Made Me Do It, because you just gotta try her easy tortilla soup!
The weather tomorrow might be a bit cooler and a little cloudier than we've become accustomed to over this summer, but as we all know, this is perfect weather for visiting a market! And not only that, but have you also scented that slight spicey crsipness in the air? It can only mean one thing... fall is on its way (as well as all the delicious foods that come with it!)!
We hope to see you all tomorrow!
Lots of love,
The Squamish Farmers’ Market Association
