Squamish Farmers' Market
Hello Market Subscribers!
I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving weekend full of treats, visiting loved ones, and a bit of well-deserved relaxation. Let's give a cheer for how kind October has been to us thus far, and the good weather is supposed to keep up throughout the weekend, with the forecast for tomorrow for a whopping 18 degrees and lotza sun! We'll have a great day in the sun as we rock out to Brainchild, our band of the week!
But we all know that after a hard, 4 day work week, you are probably ready for even more autumn treats, and lots can be found at the Squamish Farmers' Market! That's right, the market is still going, with 3 more markets to go at the corner of Cleveland and Victoria before we move indoors to the Adventure Centre on November 3rd to start the Winter Market!
Even though our market may have gotten a little smaller and cozier this month, we still have a fantastic assortment of vendors bringing you homemade goods laden with love. Many of you might have been thrown off a little (or extremely dismayed) that Sargent Poppers Kettle Corn could not be found at the market last week as usual. But not to worry, as you still have another chance to get your last bag of sweet 'n' salty goodness of the season, as he'll be back this Saturday! But this sweater weather may have you craving a little more warm, decadent comfort food than usual, and for vegans, Hip Pies can satisfy those cravings. Can't live without meat? You can get your fix for delicious meat pies at Chiefly Pies. You'll also find some of your other long-lost loved vendors returning this Saturday, including the Art of Rogic and Bowen Island Herb Salts.
Music, food, and the great company of our fellow community members; what else could one ask for? This week we have some particularly noteworthy community members paying us a visit at tomorrow's market. All candidates running in the upcoming election have been invited to meet-and-greet us, and will be found at the back of the market. This is an important opportunity, as the election is only a week away tomorrow!
As usual, it's going to be a fabulous market, and we can't wait to see all your beatiful smiling faces there, 10am-3m!
