Squamish Farmers' Market - Saturday May 4th, 2019
Good morning market lovers!
It is going to be a BEAUTIFUL sunny Satuday this weekend and we are really looking forward to a great day! So slap on some sunscreen and come hungry, re-usable shopping bag in-hand because we have an amazing vendor line-up for you.
Our hard-working farm team will of course be back with in-season vegetables from Nutrient Dense Farms, happily-laid eggs from Stony Mountain farm and tasty water buffalo meats, cheeses and dairy from the wonderful TESFA farms. Our farmers are always a big hit at market and their offerings go fast so be sure to get their early to get your fill!
The sun will be bringing with it the return of your favourite sweet treat vendors! Say hello to refreshing snow cones and hand-crafted cordials, syrups and tonics by Frostbites! Indulge in the irresistable Dee's Donuts for fresh made oh-so-warm and delicious mini donuts and snack along as you shop with a bag of Sargent Poppers kettle corn. Your favourite pickles and jams vendor is back at Copper Pot Preserves - try her pickled beets, you won't be able to resist them! Don't forget to take home some sinfully good raw, vegan chocolate treats from none other than CACAO now! If all those treats made you thirsty, you can stop by Squamish Water Kefir for a growler of their very fine and healthy probiotic beverages.
We'd like to welcome some new guests to market this weekend: Les Jolies Miches will be offering sourdough breads and authenitc Liege-style Belgain Waffles. Tres Gatos will be there with their vegan salsas and jerky (how's that for an interesting combo?!) and the Lone Goat Soap Co. will have only the best bars for your skin.
A sunny day wouldn't be complete without entertainment! We've brought in Mr. Monty Biggins as a musical treat. Monty Biggins is a long-time Sea to Sky performer offering toe-tapping themes of Americana swing. For the wee ones we'll also be creating little critters out of egg cartons at our kids craft table, located next to the market tent. Feel free to come drop them for some crafty fun while you shop!
When you've had your market fill don't forget to pop over to the parks next door. The Squamish Gardeners will be hosting their annual plant sale in Pavillion Park while the Squamish Fire Fighters are presenting their Wildfire Preparedness Day across the street in Stan Clark Park - both will be there during market hours.
We're really looking forward to market this weekend, can't wait to see you there!
May the 4th be with you!
Your loving Squamish Farmers' Market
