Squamish Farmers' Market - Saturday June 1st, 2019
Hello Market Lovers,
It is Bike to Work and School Week in Squamish so in honour of that, we are hosting a Bike to Market Day! Pedal your way down to the market tent, located near the music tent, and show us your bike helmet for a chance to win an awesome market gift basket. When you display your cranial protective device we will enter you in a draw to win a collection of prizes from Luz Tacos, Island Jerky, The Rockin Wok, Moe's Pantry, Ace Curries To Go, Susgrainable, SPARK Kombucha, Fort Berens Winery, Stony Mountain Farm, Rocky Creek Winery, Emily Tolmie Ceramics, Jordan Bastin Photography, Whistler Metal Works, Westerly Creations and Gravhund Studios Earrings! Once you have done so, leave your bike (and lock) with us and we will valet it free of charge!
With your bike safely aside you will be free to join this week's plethora of incredible vendors. Our farm team this week will be Plenty Wild and Nutrient Dense Farms, growing the best of the best in-season produce, Stony Mountain Farm peddling happily laid eggs all day and Mandair Farms with the summer's most succulent strawberries!
We would like to welcome back the ever-popular Christy's Good Bread back to the bread line-up! Coop and Lex Paleo Baking will also be making their debut as a Squamish Farmers' Market vendor with their stress-free, gluten-, wheat-, grain-, dairy- and sugar-free desserts. Berries are back with Mandair Farms who will be boasting plenty of strawberries this weekend. Say hello to newcomers Reward Your Skin - Soap Co and their cold process natural soap with vegetable oils, essential oils, herbs and flowers. Don't forget to stop by SPARK Kombucha for a growler of the good stuff on their first market of the season!
The day will be packed with many more talented vendors. While you're shopping around feel free to drop the littles off at our kids tent to engage in some serious bike-themed crafting! We will be making popsicle stick bicycles, happening right after our chef demo - a presentation you won't want to miss! This week in our healthy living series, we will be hosting Karen McAthy from Blue Heron Creamery. Karen is a talented chef who will be taking her in-depth experience around market to shop for ingredients and create a delicious and nutritious meal. Her company Blue Heron will also be there with there absolutely divine vegan cheeses! See Karen's presentation from 10-12.
For musical entertainment we have brought out Mr. Paul Coulter-Brown. Paul will have you and your family toe-tapping with his fun folk tunes from 12-3 in the music tent!
It's going to be a great market day, we'll see you there!
Your loving Squamish Farmers' Market
