Squamish Farmers' Market - Saturday July 6th, 2019
Hello Squamish Farmers’ Market Lovers,
It’s going to be a festive one this weekend! With the beer festival happening along side us in Junction Park, we decided to bring in the craft beverage cavalry. Beer is taken care of next door, so our lovely vendors will be providing a little something from the other craft beverage categories. For cider stop by Geo Cider Co and grab some of their BC fruit ciders for those hot summer days! Wine lovers out there won’t be amiss with Rocky Creek Winery’s award-winning vinos from Cowichan Bay. In the mood for spirits? Pop by to welcome back a Squamish Favourite, the Booze Witch herself, Gillespie’s Fine Spirits! You can grab their craft spirits made from BC grain and fruit and perhaps a little tonic syrup to go with it.
Looking for some family friendly craft beverages? We’ve got that too! Check out SPARK Kombucha for a growler or two of the good stuff. Visit Mountain Squeeze for their fresh-squeezed juices and smoothies (and perhaps add a cube of espresso for a little extra zip!). Go see Sea to Sky Aguas Frescas for fresh flavoured Mexican style waters or head over to Frostbites for some seriously delicious handcrafted cordials to liven up any beverage!
While you’re perusing the sippables, don’t forget to stock up on the season’s freshest of fresh fruits, veggies, eggs and meat! Our farm team this week is rockin with veggies from Plenty Wild Farm, Nutrient Dense Farm and Laughing Crow Organics, fruit from Mandair Farm, Snowy Mountain Organics and Rai Produce, eggs from Stony Mountain Farm and organic meats from Spray Creek Ranch.
As always we will be crafting away in our kids tent next to the market booth all day! Our craft this weekend is yarn monsters, made with love while we enjoy the musical talents of Squamish's own Lauren Greenlaw. Lauren is a singer who plays covers of a mixture of folk, pop and rock on her little red ukulele and old fender acoustic. She has been playing guitar for about 15 years, and ukulele for about 5. Lauren loves living in Squamish and is excited about playing for you at the farmers market! We hope you enjoy the show and feel free to sing along!
See you there!
Lots of love,
The Squamish Farmers’ Market Association
