Squamish Farmers' Market - Saturday August 24th, 2019
Hello Market Lovers,
We're getting dangerously close to back to school time! Are you in the market for a little fashion update? Look no further, friends! We have just the vendor for you (or your school-aged offspring). Anyone can outfit themselves in one-of-a-kind, environmentally conscious, hand-made and very fashionable clothing and accessories by visiting the Squamish Farmers' Market.
Stop by Endure Upcycled designs for clothing and costumes made from previously loved garmets and re-engineered to make anyone look and feel awesome. To top it off you may also want to grab one of their trademark magical wands for the Hogwarts-lover in you! Visit MelonHead Knitwear and get something cozy for those chilly morning and nights and that impending fall season! MelonHead KnitWear has been designing luxury knitwear accessories for almost 20 years. Designs with a West Coast Vibe, the Squamish Farmer's Market is the only place you can find their designs. They have a small complimentary line of shed brooches, buttons and jewelry, as well their our hand spun wool. You'll be hard-pressed to leave that booth without something cozy in-hand!
For your listening pleasure we have brought in the lovely Dana-Marie Battaglia! Her unique blend of folk music and popular oldies, which she lovingly refers to as her “Foldies Act”, is refreshing, playful, lively, charming, quirky, and beautiful. She rocks the hearts of her listeners and captivates all within hearing distance with her soothing voice and deeply genuine performance. During Dana's breaks we will be welcoming back Von Derrick. Von is only 11 years old and quite skilled at the guitar. This summer he is busking around Squamish to raise money for Squamish Helping Hands! You can catch Dana from 12-3 and Von during her break at 1:00 in the music tent.
We are excited to announce that our What's at the Market is back in full-swing! We have an awesome chef demonstration for you guys this weekend. The very lively Moe Baker from Moe's pantry will be using ingredients found at market to make something delicious and nutritious for you to watch, taste and enjoy! She will be demoing her skills next to the market tent from 10-12. After that, the tent will morph back into our kids tent where we will be crafting egg carton forest animal finger puppets with your littles until 3!
Just a reminder that NEXT weekend will be our Children's festival, packed with a tickle-truck selfie booth, slime-making craft, miniature display and more!
It's going to be an awesome market, we can't wait to see you there!
Your loving Squamish Farmers' Market
