Squamish Farmers' Market - Saturday October 26th, 2019 - SUMMER SEASON FINALE
Hello Market Lovers!
What a wonderful summer season it has been and we want to thank you all wholeheartedly for your support of all our local makers, bakers, growers, musicians and presenters. They say that when one door closes another one opens - so while we close the door on our summer market for this year we open another for our Winter Market! Starting next week we will be moving to cozier digs at The Adventure Centre located at 38551 Loggers Lane, just off Highway 99. You can catch most of our summer vendors, including our amazing farmer family plus a few new faces EVERY Saturday from 10-2!
Now back to our summer market finale! Mother Nature gave us a beautiful day to say farewell so slap on your favourite touque, gloves and scarf and come enjoy the crisp fall day. Haven't quite gotten to your winter gear yet or need some new stuff? Never fear! Melonhead Knitwear will be here! If you're more into warming yourself from the inside out, we've got you covered there too. Grab a bottle of wine (or two, or three) from the ever-popular Fort Berens Estate Winery or get into the "spirits" (pardon the pun) with Odd Society Spirits. Odd Society is a small-batch craft distillery dedicated to combining Old World distilling traditions with New World ingredients and ingenuity to create a family of spirits including whisky, vodka and gin.The Odd Society is about experimentation, embracing change and celebrating our individual and collective oddities. Their family of spirits is meant to fill a society and celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of the Odd Society community.
Once warmed, be sure to get your farm fill! Our team this week will include Plenty Wild Farm, Laughing Crow Organics and Nutrient Dense Farms with the season's best veggies, Snowy Mountain Organics with crisp orchard fruits and of course our awesome egg lady at Stony Mountain Farm with pork shares and happily laid eggs.
We've got a spectacular entertainment line-up planned for you this weekend! Check out our final What's at the Market cooking demo by chef Alyssa Belter of Plenty Wild Farm from 10-12. Her presentation (and samples) last season was a big hit so be sure to get there early to grab a seat and get a taste of the goods! Up next we will be hosting the lovable Tree Huggers Band for our musical entertainment. The Tree Huggers are a fun upbeat duo playing songs about love and life! You can catch them at the music tent from 12-3.
We want to thank you again for being a part of our summer market - we can't wait to see you at the finale AND at the Winter Market!
Your Loving Squamish Farmers' Market
