Squamish Winter Farmers' Market - Saturday December 21st, 2019 - WINTER SEASON FINALE
Hello Market Lovers,
Wow! What a year it has been and somehow we're at the Winter Market season finale. Our amazing vendors have worked so hard this year and now it's time to celebrate. We are sending 2019 out in style and have an awesome market planned for you.
We heard a rumor that the big man himself, yep HIM - Santa Claus is coming for a market visit! The elves say he will likely be arriving around 11:00 am and will have to get going by 12:30. Bring your wee ones down for a meet and maybe even a picture while Santa puruses the market goods!
Being that it is the season for giving, we are hosting a special guest this season finale. Squamish CAN will be offering their 2020 calendars to raise funds for two important causes. The first is their Mamquam Edible Schoolyard which is all about fostering a connection to nature and an understanding of where food comes from. Oh, and having fun while doing it! The second is to repair the unfortunate damage to their greenhouse that was sustained due to substantial vandalism. Your $20 donation gets you a calendar featuring art made in the garden by students at Mamquam Elementary, and includes garden tips, fun facts, and our favorite garden recipes! You can find their table on the Adventure Centre deck.
Ready to start prepping for the big Christmas dinner? Grab one of our jute market shopping bags (available at the market table at the bottom of the stairs for just $10) and fill up on the best of the best seasonal goods. Bringing you sensational fall veggies this week is Nutrient Dense Farm, Plenty Wild Farm and Four Beat Farm. You can find crisp orchard fruit from Blackwater Creek Orchard and of course happily laid eggs and even a last-minute farm-fresh turkey from Stony Mountain Farm.
Head up to the deck to grab hot food, soups, probiotic sauerkrauts, jams, pickles and even energy bars, then make your way inside for handmade crafts, winter wear, delicious mead, massages, art and more!
We want to thank you again for supporting the Squamish Farmers' Market this year. We can't wait to see you in the spring after our vendors take a well-deserved break.
Wishing you all the merriest of holidays and a safe and happy new year!
Your Loving Squamish Farmers' Market
